It's called good taste! Something we possess here, yes indeed.

Also, don't forget to see your Priest on tour now! Judas Priest is hitting my town soon too, second time for me, bless them.

:siren: This post is about DragonForce :siren:

New DragonForce album came out last week. Review: It's a DragonForce album. Yep.

Just saw DragonForce live here in London. Review: It was a DragonForce show. Energetic, hilarious and awesome.

Here's a track list - linking to random live versions of each song:

Revolution Deathsquad
Cry Thunder
Power of the Triforce
Soldiers of the Wasteland
Last Dragonborn
Fury of the Storm
Doomsday Party
My Heart Will Go On (Céline Dion cover)
Wildest Dreams (DragonForce's version)
Through the Fire and the Flames

I love DragonForce and I cannot lie

I never know where to post in NMD because these genre threads are confusing as hell, but I want to talk about Flagman.

Sometimes they're pretty heavy.

And sometimes they sound like dudes who listen to a lot of Primus and Mr. Bungle.

oh no I’m doing that thing again where I’m listening to a bunch of Municipal Waste. I’m not as familiar with their post-Massive Aggressive stuff because those weren’t out when I was obsessively listening to them during my beer-soaked college days, but goddamn are The Fatal Feast and Slime and Punishment good. No one does it like the Waste.

They’re touring right around here in a month. I just discovered them today, but I’m hovering over buying tickets.

No one is going to agree with me but I only really like The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, Vempire and Bitter Suites to Succubi. The rest never really did much for me. Yet I kept buying them.

Dusk and Her Embrace is generally regarded as their best work. If you like that, go forward in time for more keyboards and backward if you want more traditional black metal.

As has already been mentioned, "Dusk and Her Embrace" is a good place to start, either version really, the original 96 release or the "Original Sin" version which was the original original recording of Dusk, but got stolen by their label for like 20 odd years or something.

Cruelty and the Beast is another classic, and I'd also put Godspeed on the Devils Thunder and Existence is Futile up as more modern albums that are really good.

Principle of Evil is good, but very different than what they did even on Vempire, which is also really good. Really, if you want to hear an interesting evolution, listen to Principle, Vempire, Original Sin Dusk, and then 96 Dusk. For Dusk 96 and Original Sin being basically the same album, they're very different vibes.

Yeah I think I will go. I'm always happy when I go see live music.

In other weird alt metal news, Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol just released their new album.

If you've never heard them before, here's a perfect 55 second introduction to their sound.
