Overall, I loved where it was the first few episodes, but folks' reactions to more recent episodes are decidedly negative. It's honestly pretty decent as a fluffy shoujo romcom, it just feels like it's wasting good characters and settings to do the same stuff that every shoujo romcom ever has already done a bazillion times.

I've gotten to episode 10 now, I like it, I'm not sure if the silly comedic moments really work to balance out Livi's Joffery impersonation but I like how Vivi actually does act like I imagine a young King would act like and I like how Nike's independence does mesh well with that. The recent episodes were nice, they keep reminding us this isn't a nice world where the Prince and Princess get all the time in the world to work things out in some kind of fairy tale but it makes an effort to have politics and palace intrigues. I would like it more if it played like an adaption of The Prince as the medium in which the romance narrative plays over; greater emphasis on Livi's efforts to maintain control.
