Daidoji Ken'o As the Kite approached the based, Ken'o carefully kept his eyes out for the location of possible AA emplacements and landing pads, and notes the pattern of the spotlights. It was unlikely he'd be able to land the craft unnoticed, but a couple of extra seconds might make all the difference Roll Battle to determine best approach to the base: 4k2 = 24 VV or that works too, I guess VV SirPhoebos fucked around with this message at 05:08 on Feb 23, 2015 |

Daidoji Yachi Yachi shows them the plans he made earlier on how to bypass everything and they all enter!

Nikaru's Rest Research Facility, Nikaru's Reach III-a [Everyone] With all your plans laid appropriately, and surveillance and research into the appropriate way to approach such a auto-alerted facility, the ship makes its way towards the pre-calculated appropriately landing pad that you would get in via. There are some close calls, but ultimately Daidoji Yachi's work is impeccable, and Daidoji Ken'o's piloting up to an appropriate standard as you navigate your way past the various patrol points of the auto-drones and surveillance points of the turrets, you get a better glimpse of the facility from above. Asides from the movement of the drones and turrets it looks very quiet, none of the other machinery is moving, and there are no signs of people around. Thankfully the fog is absent here, which seems likely due to strong ventilation systems constantly removing such a strange atmospheric effect. With the delicacy as expected in such trying times the craft softly lands on your 'designated' landing pad. The drones and turrets still buzz about seemingly entirely unaware of your intrusion as your craft rests deep within the facility. By this point you can hear some kind of klaxon or alarm repeatedly sounding, endlessly. Your view out of the cameras on your craft shows little else around here, however alarm lights are flashing in places. The landing pad is pretty simple in nature, from it stems a walkway leading to a large set of double doors that lead into the facility interior. What do you do? How do you conduct yourselves in the immediate future?

Moshi Narukami Narukami marches forth towards the doors, checking for means of access. An alarm probably means lockdown, given the defenses on alert outside, but there's likely to be an access panel nonetheless. Looking back and folding her hands as if making an offer, she says, "I can probably disable radiant security, but we'd still have to force the doors open somehow. It might be possible to open the doors less forcefully, but it would take some time, and darkness is approaching."

Yuzuki Yuzuki grimaces at the klaxons. Not her favorite sound. Her cats begin to patrol the area, while Yuzuki herself focuses on coordinating them. "My little darlings are probably strong enough to smash open doors, if needed."

Toku Ohkawa Ohkawa keeps her hands on her sidearm and stays quiet. She's keeping an ear out for any trouble, hoping to stop it before it begins. I can roll something if you want

A Landing Pad, Nikaru's Rest Research Facility, Nikaru's Reach III-a [Everyone] Examining what lies before you, you determine that the access door is indeed locked, but for the moment time seems to be on your side, the drones and various other more active security systems seemingly ignoring your presence. An access panel is visible, however right now it has sequestered itself away into the ground just to the left of the door, presumably as a part of lockdown procedures in place, however the indentation and seams visible on the metal floor here makes it obvious what lies below. Otherwise the doors seem pretty solidly built, for direct access doors - perhaps less strong than the grand gates at the outer walls of the facility but nonetheless they seem to be made of reinforced metal. There is no sign of any previous access or for that matter previous action, outside of any casual weathering this planet might cause. Yuzuki's cats don't seem to notice anything else for the moment, outside of the peripheral motion of the defences, and it is likely best to not attract their attention by leaving the immediate vicinity of the landing pad and the access way. Overall for the moment you seem to have some breathing space, your infiltration thus far has been quite successful and has granted you some grace. What do you do?

Moshi Narukami Crouching down, Narukami touches the recessed panel. "Makes it hard to disable, it's sealed away during lockdown. So..." She spreads her hand atop it, frowning. "... maybe I can change that." Her scrollcase is opened, and she exchanges them before laying out one of the small, practical scrolls out on the surface. A prayer is whispered, before saying, "Can you stand, please? We need your help for the sake of purifying this place, watchful guardians." Going to cast Commune (Fire) with three raises to try and adapt to calling on the radiant / thunder kami that run the the access panel, based on her thunder-themed heritage, with a 29. She's looking to try and at least get the panel open, but probably are going to be asking for help unlocking this with her second question.

A Landing Pad, Nikaru's Rest Research Facility, Nikaru's Reach III-a [Everyone] Moshi Narukami: For a moment there is silence. In your moment of concentration, the background noises - the alarms, the distant sounds of autonomous patrol drones, the heavy breathing of the nearby attack lions - all fade. Then with a crackling voice like a tesla coil, it suddenly speaks - sparks bring into action dancing along the walkway - but centring on the erstwhile access panel. The sparks move in time with its voice, harsh, rapid, somewhat hard to understand: "Itititititititit w-w-w-would bemypleasure t-t-t-t-t-to helponesuchasyourself!" it exclaims. Eager to please, although perhaps not the most easy to control, nonetheless strange spark-like form of the kami skitters under the metal walkway with lightning speed. Then... Everyone: There is a whirr and a clunk, and suddenly the hitherto-hidden access panel to the otherwise locked doors springs to life, rising from the floor with unerring defiance of anything that would dare stop it, until it reaches its maximum height (normal height) and stops with yet another clunk. Strange gibberish and glyphs scroll past on the screen. Odd. Moshi Narukami... except not odd to you because you understand that perfectly! It's that kami again! code:
