Can't they just flail around in a big tub every once in awhile? Not good hygiene but I imagine it would at least keep you from becoming mushroom food.

Jesus christ that must be the absolute worst combination of itchy and sore. Like straight up torture levels of physical discomfort. How on earth did they tolerate it so long that it got to that point? We label fat people as having no willpower but I don't think I'd be able to last even a small fraction of the time it took for them to seek treatment.
