The Institute is about this crazy ARG that went on in San Francisco that had this nerd following. It wasn't for any product, just some guy got some money together and rented out a building and filled the area with clues and radio shows and insane crap. He wanted to make life fun or something but people get obsessed.

I mean no amount of personal trauma makes blacking up ok but still then there was the dude who was totally getting scammed by the literary agent and it was so depressing he couldn't see it even if he was an annoying nerd BUT THE OTHER GUY holy poo poo i don't know if i've ever seen an actual living psychopath before but that guy only got pleasure from the small power DND gave him and he walked on his son of FIFTEEN YEARS and felt no remorse and then when he finally saw him again and came face to face with the kid he raised and then abandoned all he had to say was "man i'm glad to be outta there that was awkward" gently caress jesus christ this movie man
