Ellis. It's a pretty low cap hit for a top-4 defenceman, and it buys a year of UFA status. Teams go crazy on July 1st for right shooting defencemen who can put up points. He's wasting a pretty high earning year for himself.

Is he a legit top 4 guy though? I feel like Nashville didn't really think he was and he's looking more like a PP specialist

He was a little rough when he first came into the league but my amateur eyes thought he looked pretty good last year.
