However, it's probably not going to kill him. Presumably he got throat cancer due to smoking too many unfiltered $100 bills.

Under Jamie Dimon,

quote:

The bank has worked to mend its frayed relationships with regulators — a painful reconciliation that cost the bank roughly $20 billion. In November, JPMorgan reached a record $13 billion settlement with a range of government authorities over its sale of questionable mortgage-backed securities in the lead-up to the financial crisis. The bank also reached a $2 billion settlement of accusations that JPMorgan failed to sound alarms about the fraud surrounding Bernard L. Madoff’s Ponzi scheme.

Presumably JPMorgan settled these claims because they knew that seeing them through a full lawsuit risked a judge imposing even more expensive fines.

I posted so that those of you who feel strongly about the fabulously wealthy leaders of enormous "too big to fail" banks can enjoy a few moments of schadenfreude.

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a depopulated earth reclaimed by nature except for a few dozen immortal rich men and each one is sitting atop their own mountain size pile of gold like a dragon

This guy's crime is not so much "being super rich" as it is being the leader of one of, if not the, largest of the banks that totally hosed the US (and by extension the world) economy in 2008. If you subscribe to the notion that the chairman and CEO of a company is responsible for what their company does, then issuing countless billions of dollars of shady mortgage-backed securities is on him.

Many of the millions of Americans who lost their jobs, their houses, their livelihoods, and their futures in the past five years can look to Jamie Dimon as one of the architects of their misery.

And anyway he's not gonna die a horrible death because his cancer was caught early and is curable.

Well I bought a foreclosed house, thus helping to recover house prices and restore uh, something, or maybe I made it worse because I helped a bank sell a house they foreclosed from some poor bastard?

Look I don't know I just think this guy sucks
