So the NFL announces the top 10 in their dumb list proving that just because the fans and media have bad opinions doesn't mean the players have good ones. Let's have a contest to see who can correctly guess the players and order of the list. 1 point for a correct player, 4 points for the correct order. So that means a perfect score would be 50 points. Please format your selection with numbers and give the player's actual name. If you just post a nickname I am not going to count it. You can use this format for your selections. Prize will be an account upgrade. I will devise an ENTIRELY FAIR way of pairing down any ties. I will award the upgrade within three days of the winner saying which he likes. I am so bad about that. code:
won my QB game in January. I am lucky my head is actually attached to my neck or I'd be a lot shorter. I don't have PMs and I've decided to upgrade the reward to archives or platinum due to lateness. If you have pms please tell that poor neglected poster to tell me what he wants in this thread.

Agreed. No Whitworth despite the fact that he played at a pro bowl level at guard and tackle, AJ Green ranked in the top 10 is way too high too. There are a bunch of players there based on pure name recognition. Just goes to show that the players don't necessarily know poo poo about teams they don't prepare for. Easy to forget each team only plays 13 other teams a year. I'd put Antonio Brown on the list as well as Yanda. Maybe Suggs and/or Ngata, I didn't follow the Ravens too closely. Both Flacco and Ben didn't play worth ranking on the list. You could argue four or five QBs not on the list outplayed them. Eifert Posting fucked around with this message at 02:31 on Jul 8, 2014 |

Yanda had an unusually pedestrian year but he was playing with trash on either side of him. Suggs was good but lost a ton of steam as the season ran on. He may not of even had a sack in the last 8 games. Ngata had his worst year as a pro and didn't come near to deserving his salary let alone any accolades. I un-ironically believe Flacco deserves to be where he was voted. He was the entire offense on a bad team, was injured the last two games, and had the majority of interceptions off the hands of his receivers or thrown into stupid windows because the alternative was to concede the game was lost. Joe was one of the only fun things to watch all year. Whitworth is great and the Bengals are easily one of the most talented teams in the NFL, which is what the Ravens were three years ago so maybe in three years they'll get their due.

Troy is a great player, a class act, the key contributor to championship teams, and a hall of famer. It hurts me physically to say this, but him being overrated in his old age is not a crime. Thankfully he can't crush my dreams much longer. Any given year there are 52 Steelers you can hate. In like 3 years max you can hate 53. Deal with it. Last year was rough for Steeler hating fans. They go 8-8 despite a terrible start, not mention James Harrison and Mike Wallace both leave while Troy Polamalu and Bret Keisel failed to retire. Both Troy, Keisel, and Mike Tomlin are all incredibly likable. I thank god Roethlisberger is still around and that old age has transformed the majority of his crazy bullshit plays into painful looking sacks.

Official results: 1. Manning 2. Calvin Johnson 3. Tom Brady 4. ADP 5. LeSean McCoy 6. Drew Brees 7. Richard Sherman 8. Jamaal Charles 9. A.J. Green 10. Jimmy Graham Check my math, I am basically mentally deficient when it comes to even basic math. First Place: 26 points, zimbomonkey Second Place: TIE! 22 points, Fabreeze, turbomoose, Ace Jameson Fifth Place: TIE! 18 points, The Puppy Bowl, Harlock Seventh Place: 13 points, Marketing New Brain Twelveth Place: 1 point, Shiksa Zimbo, pick a forum upgrade. Post your choice here. Players picked most accurately: (7/9) 1. Manning (4/9) 9. Green & 10. - Graham Everyone who picked one right picked both (3/9) 8. Charles (2/9) 6. Brees and 7. Sherman - No one got both (1/9) 2. Johnson and 3. Brady - (0/9) 4. Peterson and 5. McCoy - Weird that all the ties were sequential
