What's funny is that he was critical of the persecution of Jewish people for awhile, likely thinking that he might convert a few to his fancy new religion, then when they stayed Jewish he got real mad at them.

Don't know if I should admit this but what the heck ... My natural mother was a Catholic, put in a "home for unmarried mothers" with sadistic nuns, said "gently caress you!" to RC and named me Martin Luther. My adoptive parents kept the Martin as my 2nd name, dropped the Luther. So this thread caught my eye OP

Anyway gently caress Luther, my fave anti-RC dudes are Wycliffe and Hus. Wycliffe DARED to write the Bible in English in 1382. Wycliffe died of natural causes, and Hus spread the word - eventually Rome caught up with Hus and heresy was decried. The Pope (Council of Constance) even exhumed Wycliffe's body and burned it, and Hus was burned at the stake. More balls than a loving nailed letter to a cathedral imo
