I teach English in a Korean elementary school. As a semester review project I set aside a class where they could work on a poster using any phrase they learned so far in the year. I maintain a very loose class and encourage them to be creative. Most of the time it results in interesting new phrases and teaching opportunities. Sometimes it backfires, like this:  This is a contest for a small bonus prize. This is not for a grade and will in no way affect their academics. Some of you may remember "This Cat is wizard." It's the same exact deal, but with younger kids. These were all made by Korean fourth graders. For each class I'd like you to pick a first and second place entrant for "most creative English" and "Best art." You can pick your winners however you like. I'll give each class about five days and then we can vote for best overall from each class. We'll start with class one. Class 1: 1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9  10  Sample Vote: Most creative English: 1st. 26 2nd. 42 Best art: 1st. 63 2nd. -9

5 and 9 would fit right in in america. 10 would be deported within a week. (but had best art imo) 2 was my favorite 9 and 7 were the best English imo (or at least most effort)

Ideally they know about 30 simple present verbs. In situations where they don't know the verb I taught them to use "Don't do that." For example, the kids I teach don't know the verb: "shitpost." They would probably just say "Don't do that."

Best art: 1st 5 (has a good concept of 3D with their bowls plates etc) 2nd 7 good but not quite as good as 5 Honorary mention: 3 it made me laugh a lot Best use of english: 1st 3 2nd 5 (accurate depiction of boxing I think.
