dunno if anyone else ever bothered to try this but the shuffle feature is a good idea in theory except those stacker CD players take about 20 seconds to switch from one CD to another
this is back when RAM is too expensive to be able to read ahead a few minutes worth

so every time a song ends you get an 80% chance to experience the joy of waiting in silence as it shuffles to another album to play the next random song
