In Libertopia will all police and military forces be controlled by privatized as well? If so where do they plan on recruiting these people and who will pay for their upkeep without the oppression of taxes.

The best part is according to the comments, everyone paid for their land in bitcoins, which the Chilean government doesn't recognize as a valid currency, so no one can sue to get their money back.

You pay for a private security company to protect you, and your neighbor does likewise for himself. Now that you've combined the famously honorable fields of mercenary work and protection racket, it is strongly in both of your interests to not be the poor chump stuck with the least well-equipped security service, and since that's largely a function of who's got the most money/membership the biggest and strongest company will rapidly snowball into a monopoly enforcing and arbitrating law over all citizens that totally isn't just an autocratic government because someone else can start up their own garage security racket and get annihilated and probably killed by the entrenched major players at any time. IOW, literally the same as how every libertarian idea for how to replace public services works. Tubgirl Cosplay fucked around with this message at 04:03 on Aug 30, 2014 |

Libertarians are lost and idealistic in a childish way. The same goes for communists. These are systems are fun thought exercises that cannot ever function under human control ever. Also, LOL.

So the only way to prosper in libertopia is to become a feudal lord and have your own personal private army with serfs to farm your land and upkeep your aquaducts. Then when some competing lord rubs up against the little feifdom I guess the free market is supposed to determine who has rights or you go to war or something. Libertarianism at its root is basically just protofeudalism.
