i too have also seen strange things in the sky late at night in rural Maine (mostly objects appearing as bright as higher altitude planes/bright stars rapidly moving in zigzagging patterns across the sky) but didnt take them too serious going forward because I was drunk as gently caress and high as poo poo (and the only one still awake) at the time when i saw them. thankfully i wasnt abducted because experiencing a bourbon induced hangover while being inspected and dissected by greys would probably be a horrible thing to experience.

Let's not make this a "Maine" thing. It was just in the sky over Maine.

So I was just out walking the grounds and heard a very, very low rumble in the sky and looked up to see a monstrously large, silver plane flying maybe 20-25K above me seemingly attached to a much smaller, yet still big, silver plane. If they weren't attached they were flying directly together very closely. Never seen anything like it.

I don't live up there, but years ago (2005 maybe?) I saw something rather similar to this, some obnoxiously large silver plane with an immense wingspan - not some flying loving saucer. I've seen plenty of jetliners and poo poo, but this had much a much larger wingspan in proportion to its body.

Tried to drive in its direction to get a better look on it, but I was going somewhere so I couldn't deviate too much. Saw a few people stopped on the road here and there looking at it, too. Weird thing.

So no one knows what I saw? Where are the military aviation experts?

What you saw is a XB-70 Valkyrie with its escort fighters.

Because I see transatlantic flights all the time and the smaller plane looked like one of those, with the big plane like twice as big. And loud.

maybe they were flying the same flightpath, but the bigger plane was just closer to the ground, especially since it was so loud

It was closer, so this is possible. But it was so big!
