Haven't been painting minis long and I'm self-taught, save for the occasional youtube tutorial when things aren't going well. I'm helping create a Lizardmen army. Any tips or advice I could get would be appreciated.

My husband and I want a unique army instead of copying everything we see in the books, so we decided to make a leaf toad Slann.

This is the result:

We used simple green to make his brow ridges and a spinal ridge in the back. I know natural light and a camera phone aren't the best options for photographing minis but it's what I have available.
