The Giants are mostly fine, they have just been very lucky recently and their fans have now run the gamut from "smugly insisting a mediocre team was actually great" to "running a terrible meme about their good fortune so far into the ground it cracks the earth's crust." Not to mention that at this point SF is mainly associated with wealthy tech assholes. It's really easy to wish for anything that will make Giants fans sad. Also, by nature of SA, Giants fans will always be overrepresented here and it's easy to get annoyed at a large group. One fanbase's happiness comes necessarily at the expense of other fans' sadness, and it's obviously easier for the losers to read one "woo we won!" post than 20. But our Giants-fan contingent is cool and I'm glad they're around.

You're welcome for that free win for the Pirates, by the way

Much of the non GDT discussion here about the Giants is about the front office being hated for various reasons. This ranges from Sabean is bad/lucky/alright, to the territorial thing that's been going on since the 70s and isn't going to be resolved now. However, especially in the offseason doldrums, this kind of stuff eclipses Hunter Pence playing Diablo with fans.
