I post in GBS as a result of loneliness brought about by social anxiety, a trait which results in a general inability to make friends. The few friends I managed to make over the years are now on the other side of the country, for me, so I post in the chat threads in an attempt to make me feel less dead inside. Every time I'm quoted with a response, if I try really hard, I can imagine that I'm having a chat with friends. And if I have a whole thread full of friends, it doesn't make sense for me to be lonely! Why do you post in GBS, GBS?
