:ughh:

That was a thing that people said about Apple hardware for a few years. Because, in the late 90s and early-mid 2000s, Apple did a number of redesigns on the Macintosh (a lot of flinging designs on the wall and seeing what sticks, IMHO, such as the 25th Anniversary Mac and the clamshell iBooks), and so sometimes you'd get things like the G4 cube, which had problems with overheating (among other things). But, at the same time, Apple would just up and release new Macs whenever the hell they felt like it, with none of the current, "Oh, it's October, time for new Macs" predicability. So the conventional wisdom was to wait as long as you could and then buy the best Mac you could afford, and then try not to feel bad if Apple announced a completely redesigned version a month later.

Whereas today they release the Retina 5K iMac, which has the same external design and internal layout as the 2012 27" iMac.

I'm not saying that was a bad thing, just that Apple's approach over the last decade has been to refine the iMac's design rather than completely replace it. It is now the pinnacle of desktop computers.

nah i mean like do you have overdraft protection on it? bc inevitably one day some fuckup will happen and you'll be charged $19.34 x 20000 times and then you'll get hit with an overdraft fee for each one even if apple refunds your money and your bank will be like 'lol give us our overdraft charges $7.99 per transaction' and then you'll be 30 and homeless :(
