Problem description: Upgraded to a Gigabyte GA-z97x-ud5h mobo and a 4690K processor recently, and most of the time the system doesn't start the GPU (EVGA GTX760SC ACX) or doesn't start at all, stopping with motherboard code 15-initializing north bridge.

Attempted fixes: System starts after anywhere between 20-30 resets and switching the dual bios back and forth. Removed the GPU and the system loads in fine using the GPU built into the processor. Visual inspection of the GPU shows nothing off about it, when it does load it handles 6-day uptime and 100% graphics load for hours on end without a problem. All temps are normal according to Core Temp (CPU) and EVGA Precision (GPU). Card is known good from the previous build, ran at standard clocks (downclocked from the factory OC).

Recent changes: As above, replaced mobo+processor.

This is what
Arcane Velocity was like.
The North Bridge is integrated to the CPU, so either it's a bum motherboard or a bum CPU - and a bum CPU is incredibly unlikely.

Just to cover your bases, I'd return the motherboard and CPU both and get new ones. Same model is fine - DOA happens.
