Can't beleive noone has said this. Anyone think the narrator sounded like Javier Bardem? Especially in the beginning?

oobviously the empire has been ruling for a thousand years and obi wan was wistful for the age of jedi, or his romanticized version of how he always imagined it. There's only a handful of secret jedi in the galaxy, who train in hiding and do everything they can to be a thorn in the empire's side, but mostly struggle to keep the thread of the force going so it's not completely lost and forgotten. Pre-IV Vader was basically a jedi killer who's main purpose was to eradicate all the force peeps except the secret cabal in the upper levels of empire. Join us or die. And before him it was the same thing, but he chose to join instead of die. Obi Wan just ran from it all instead.
