I've actually been pleasantly surprised with their defensive zone coverage, Vancouver hasn't created much off the cycle tonight, and usually that's where they destroy Dallas.

who cares if it came off a Dallas player, the only time an offside is cancelled out is if we bring it back into the zone intentionally **besides which, the puck hadn't even re-entered the zone before the Vancouver player took possession Glad the game didn't turn on that horrible non call.

I really liked the effort from the Stars tonight, they won the board battles and the puck races and that was reflected in the possession control. It's not often you can compliment the team on getting down and blocking shots, but they came up with some big ones tonight. The mental errors and giveaways continue to be the biggest problem by far, a lot of what Vancouver got came off of bad reads and missed plays. The Canucks had the better of the scoring chance battle and most nights they win that game, but Kari came up big.. probably the 2nd or 3rd time this year he's taken control of the game by himself.
