Problem description: My laptop came with Windows 8 pre-installed and I hated it, so I downloaded Ubuntu 14.04. Ever since I've been on Ubuntu my wifi connection will all of a sudden stop working even though it will say I'm connected. I have to disconnect and reconnect and it will work again for about 30 minutes before repeating the same issue.

Attempted fixes: I've googled my issue and have followed the instructions to enter certain instructions into the terminal to fix the issue but none of them have worked. In the comments section of all the things I've tried are filled with other people saying it didn't fix the issue either.

Recent changes: Just installing Ubuntu has made this issue arise. Windows 8 is no longer installed.

I feel stupid now, I thought I did have the latest version. I'm updating now hopefully this fixes the problem.
