Problem description: like the title says my laptop instantly shut down while i was using it out of the blue and now it throttles when under load even if it's not overheating. Attempted fixes: i've tried rebooting but other than that i have no idea what to do, i'm completely lost here. Recent changes: not that i can think of -- Operating system: windows 8.1 System specs: this is my laptop http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/N750JV/specifications/ it has 16 GB of ram and dual 750 GB 5400 rpm HDDs and a 2gb gtx750m (i think that's all the optional stuff) Location: Australia I have Googled and read the FAQ: I've tried googling but i can't find anything about my issue. joachim783 fucked around with this message at 07:55 on Feb 27, 2015 |

Zogo posted:What kind of CPU and GPU temperatures are you getting using: this is the gpu with msi kombustor running this is the gpu at idle cpu with prime95 cpu at idle as you can see the cpu throttles itself even though it hasn't hit 100C the thermal limit where it starts throttling. joachim783 fucked around with this message at 16:00 on Feb 28, 2015 |

Thermal Status LOG means that it crossed some threshold and wanted to lower it. Is this happening whether or not the laptop is plugged into a power source?
