The door opens, surprisingly it is neither locked nor stuck. Then again perhaps it is not so surprising when you consider someone has been here before you. On the other side of the door is ... more stairs.

Michael, and Rose, lead the way through the door and along the stairs.

The stairs deposit you in a dim and dusty hallway. Patches of odd fungus bathe the walls in a pale green luminance.
The hallway proceeds straight for 30 feet before culminating in a featureless wall. Ten feet before the hallway ends, however, another hallway branches off to the left. It appears to be the only option for moving further into the pyramid.

Michael goes up to the wall, crashes into it with all his might, and goes tumbling through the wall, which spins a couple times at the force he used. Eventually it stops spinning, coming to a rest part way open, as Michael comes to his feet.

On the other side is more hallway, before turning to the right after about twenty feet.

Rose sneaks through the tunnel, following it until she sees that it ends in another dead end. Meanwhile the others move into the main hallway, watching her disappear around one corner, and keeping an eye on the corridor that it looked like they were meant to go down.

The area grows deathly quiet as you pass into the hallway—even the sounds of your own passing seem muted. Without warning, the silence is shattered by the grating sound of moving stone as a wall slides into place behind you, blocking the way from which you came. And then the maze falls into silence once more.

The silence is once more broken as a wall behind Rose does the same.

Rose - You find yourself trapped in a hallway, with no apparent way in or out. A transparent figure appears before you. Make a Charisma save.

Rose - Each ray of fire connects with the incorporeal form, though they don't seem as effective as you hoped. The creature snarls, silently, but does not move in to try and fill your space. Instead he tries to touch you, only to miss by a hair breadth. No save, this time, it failed its recharge and missed with another attack. Your turn.

As Samash is dropping ball bearings, he feels a sharp thwack to the back of his head, and the plop of a ball bearing falling from a height. Looking around, and down, one of the ball bearings he had used to try and block a wall seems to have hit him in the back of the head.

Michael - The figure disappears. A weirdness enters you, and you watch as your fingers flex, but not to your will. You watch as you go back to the sliding wall, and open it, You watch as you head toward the others, and feel the malice inhabiting you. Holy poo poo someone actually failed. You are Possessed, I will let you roll your own actions as you go back into the room to kill the others.

The wall that just closed on Michael opens quickly, no surprise with how easily he opened the other walls. He starts making his way back to the group.

Michael found his mind twisted by the sinister essence that the creature was pouring into him. As he returned to the group, the whispering in his ear quickly turned from obvious falsehood to damnable facts. They were allies of the Cult of the Dragon, and had lured him into this place to try to do away with him!

His homeland sacked, his kin despoiled, his anger's cauldron overboiled. All those who'd left his city scarred, would taste the fist of Michael Haggaran! Outnumbering him, his former comrades jeered and taunted, yet still he sallied forth, undaunted. Knuckles flew, and in a flash of speed and fury came the clash. As though he were a righteous sword, he tore unscathed through his allied horde.

My action will depend on whether Rose fails the opposed grapple check or not.
Although the tumorous influence of the ghost was causing him to see his allies as enemies, he was still a tactically-minded individual. Michael knew firsthand the power of the beings that he would have to slay, and fighting them all at once would be suicide. Luckily, this arena was well-suited to the task, as the doors closed automatically when one walked through them, and he happened to know where a few were. Sneaking up on Rose, he grabs her by the back of the neck and slams her head violently into the wall to knock some sense out of her, before trying to drag her away with him through one of the aforementioned self-closing doors. By the time the others got to him, she would be dead, and he could repeat the process on the next one.

Against all odds, the tiefling succeeded where literal mountains of men (now corpses) had failed, as well as other contenders, including giant octopii, gladiators, and even a tyrannosaurus once upon a time. Unable to grasp the woman, he knows he is in danger, and quickly flees through several doors. He would repeat the process in a few moments, when their guard inevitably slipped.
