The escort back to a safer location went without incident. Just in time, as the nausea from all the head-ringing and draining adrenaline was beginning to knock the elf off his feet. A fortified room meant he could shut down, which he is more than eager to do.

Some time later, he wakes to find his aching head far more clear. Dried blood is wiped from his nose and hastily scrubbed out of his once-new chain armors. Damaged rings are proof the armor is well designed, doing exactly what it should. A shame he couldn't be just a bit faster on his feet, but the elf appears ultimately pleased with having survived the fight. What damage remained is mended by MB's magical healing, bringing forth some long-ago thoughts on the mechanical man's origins. They had some time to let their guards down during the rest, which lets the elf express these thoughts.

"This healing power of yours, positive energy. You explained it a while ago, but I am curious - is it so easy a thing to apply? It took me extensive training to channel nature's power into healing, and even then, there are considerations for ones race in the application of said power. Sereia strikes me as rare, seemingly gifted in this aspect. For me it was, sometimes is still, a demanding exercise. Yet you manage without fault. Under duress, no less. Is it due to your time spent as a defender of a dwarven king, intermingling with elven cohorts of old? Or perhaps it is simply in your design.."

Current objective
The map needs updating; enemies taken off and the group should all be in room M5 resting for the short rest (Quilian is now moved there). I'm ready to move forward. When the group/Ryuujin is ready, I would like to check out the door situated to the north in the hallway right outside our current room. This may link into the same area/room our escaped opponents fled through, so Quilian will approach the door in a quiet and stealthy manner, trying to get a hidden look inside if possible. Although my last stealth was not applicable, it's been a short rest. Rolling up a new stealth check..

Moradin's Beard > 37+8 / 40 HP > 20 AC
The construct seems happy to discuss these matters with the elf, explaining, "Your question is a simple one, though it has a complex answer, as all good things do." Resting against the door to ensure it remains closed while his companions gather their focus, he explains, "I was, obviously, assembled with a purpose in mind. I was cast in the forges of Moradin himself, and as a result my entire being is connected to that divine fire of creation, wherever I may go. Establishing a connection to that power source is therefore trivial, and transferring it to those in my immediate vicinity is also a simple matter."

The construct continues, "However, although applying the energy is trivial, measuring the dosage is the real challenge. As with any medicine you are likely familiar with, too much of a good thing can be disastrous. Were I to improperly calculate the dosage applicable to any recipient, it could immolate their body. That dosage varies depending on many factors, including weight, age, racial heritage, and other diseases and afflictions that might be rampant in them, among other considerations. Unfortunately, I do not necessarily have all of the information on each of you that I would need to accurately measure that dosage, so I have had to make a few assumptions, while also keeping your dosage artificially low so as to ensure there are no aberrant results. As I come to know each of you better I will be able to safely increase the limitations I have placed upon myself, allowing greater capacity to heal your wounds and keep you safe. For the moment, however, I must err on the side of caution."

Seemingly heedless of how concerning it might be that his healing force might cause his patients to spontaneously combust, he continues, "This is no longer a truly demanding exercise for me, but you must understand, it is a very particular set of skills - skills I have acquired over a very long career. In your case, I know elven physiology quite well, having served with the ambassador to The City of Summer Stars for three elven generations." The construct laughs in its tinny, hollow way, adding, "It may surprise you to know that I am one of a very rare few of dwarven heritage to have received the title and blessing of ruathar." He seems sullen for a moment, and pauses before adding, "It was unfortunate, what happened to the elves of that land."

He shakes off the dismay quickly enough, and concludes, "Though there is no sense dwelling on the past. What I can say is, you have much to look forward to as I come to better understand your specific physical condition. In due time I should be able to safely render you functionally immune to toxic substances, diseases, and even most forms of magic. As it stands, I can manually cure each of you of any poison coursing through your veins, and any disease that does take hold of you, though I imagine that process will be less than pleasant." The construct tilts its head at Quilian, inquiring, "Do you have any further questions on the subject?"

Quilian sneaks up on the nearby door, just to the north of the hall leading to the room they rested in and Sandstone Court. He carefully leans in and listens at the door, and hears nothing. He carefully opens the door.

Sacred Stone Monastery - M6 Refectory

Four old wooden tables with bench seats stand in the
middle of this room, and shelves full of plain clay crockery
and wooden platters line the walls. To the west, two
windows look out into the canyon beyond the monastery
walls. Two doors lead from this room to the north, and one
to the south.

"You have accomplished much, and continue to do so. In a way, I am envious. There are things my eyes can no longer see due to the passage of time, but I find the tales of others can sometimes draw so vivid an image in the mind." Pushing himself to his feet, the elf gears himself once more for battle. "It is clear to me you have earned your title of ruathar long ago, and continue to prove its worth. I have no more questions, only gratitude. It was not our most glorious fight we just had, but thanks to the efforts of all of us, we emerged victorious. I was not quite sure what to expect when you arrived.. But sharing in the fight is all the proof I need that we stand on the same side."

"Perhaps when we have time to rest, you can tell me more about your travels. I know little of the elves you spoke of, and the lives of dwarfs are not entirely known to me either. Such stories shared over a nice brew.. Erm, do you drink?"

Onwards

Quilian enters what looks to be a common's room. A place to eat and rest. Sadly, there was no food left around the area. A small bite wouldn't have been too bad right now, maybe a nice sausage..

Two more doors to the north. Quilian carefully approaches the door on the left to steal a peak.

What I'm doing
Moving on through this room, trying the north-western door. Same process as last and reusing last unused stealth roll, stealthy stealth.

Sacred Stone Monastery - M7 Kitchen

Hot coals smolder in two big brick hearths in the middle of
this room, and the smell of baking bread fills the air. Sacks
of flour, casks of salted fish, crates of dried vegetables,
and wheels of cheese clutter the walls, along with wellworn
work tables and a collection of mismatched cutlery.
A doorway to the west leads to a washroom where three
large wooden tubs stand. A door to the north leads to the
monastery exterior, while another door leads south.

Quilian spots a few more of the monks working in the kitchen.

With all the ruckus they caused, it surprised him to see a small group of monks acting rather casually. They may have believed his group was successfully ran out.. Such misconception was to his advantage, and rare was Quilian to pass up the opportunity to strike with advantage. Moving back to the group in their temporary resting room, he gestures to the area to the north.

"More monks ahead, looks like they are cooking meals. They may think of us as having been run out from our last fight. Surprise is ours if we act now."

What I'm Doing
Before I go in slashing things up, I'd like to get some more posts to make sure people are up and ready for another round of fights. Quilian will go back and inform the group of fighty times, and will post again some actions once we're good to go. I'll be looking to go first in order to take advantage of my successful stealth pass that may lead into possible surprise round for me.

Well it looks like all interest for this has pretty much dried up now. So I guess the game is dead.
