The Blackfyres are a bastard offshoot of house targ. They started the mercenary group the golden company. Selmy killed the last member of the male line Maelys I. There sigil is a three headed dragon. The prince that was promised isn't three targs, but one Blackfyre. When Selmy apologizes to Dani for failing her family, he's talking about the Blackfyres, cuz c'mon, if he thought she was a targ he would have been helping her a whole lot sooner. Plus she's named after targ that loved a blackfyre.
