I read somewhere that the scientist who advised about the blackhole was able to write a journal article or two about what they discovered when they ran the computer simulation, so that is a pretty cool thing. I'd be interested to listen to the director's commentary for this movie, I bet it is pretty good if the astrophysicist is there!
