My best guess is that the logic they use to determine whether a player accepts a contract has issues when you try to apply it to a restructuring. I don't know why it would, but I always get the feeling Madden's code shares some similarities with our own forums code. You know, spaghetti code that doesn't make sense but if you change it nothing works so you can't gently caress with it.

I am not a developer of Madden, but I do work in tech, and I very much believe this is probably a big reason why they can't adjust it to more mirror real life contract work. There is probably so much legacy code behind the system, it would need an entirely new iteration of CFM to be developed from scratch to fix, while still allowing for some sense of realism vs functionality.

Defensive line play still looks bad and unchanged. Now with power backs I expect Inside Zone/Outside Zone along with Fullback Dive to still be a thing.
