In early July a Prospect resident reported more than 200 Hot Wheels collector toy cars had been stolen from his shed.

As part of Operation Matchbox police followed a looping orange track that lead them to an Elizabeth house where the majority of the stolen toy cars were recovered.



An 18-year-old man from Elizabeth has been arrested and charged with theft and unlawful possession. He has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 26 August.

Police called in two large Tonka dump trucks to return the cars to the owner.

I am incredibly stupid
i didnt think it was too many cars for one thief to steal but i did wonder why he would keep them all instead of selling them or dumping them burnt out by the side of the road or whatever

i was thinking mental illness or that scene with the duck guy and the shipping containers from the wire but not this op, i wasnt expecting this
