Most of the good non-horror ones have been done. The Shoot Horses, Don't They? The Draughtsman's Contract The Third Man 10 Rillington Place (slight cop-out, as it's an adaptation of a true murder story in which the forces of justice did not exactly triumph)

The Horseman. It's a pretty grim revenge tail that's all about the futility of revenge, it's been a awhile but I remember it being pretty good. Not to be confused with Horsemen starring Dennis Quaid or Bojack Horseman starring a talking horse.
