 Reality TV is pretty awful, but like others have said it's easy to comprehend and gives people something to talk to each other about. People enjoy being able to feel like they are part of something big even if that thing is not really important in any way.

Teen Mom is pretty great. It's pretty amazing to see how MTV has totally ruined these poor girls live's but instead of quitting and getting out of the limelight, they double down and let the money/attention totally drag them down.
