Chairman Mao Zedong (1893 - 1976) was the greatest leader that China has ever had. He brought the country into the modern era in just a couple of decades. He heroically defeated the Kuomintang and pushed them to Taiwan. Mao is portrayed as a villain by many historians, but he is in fact a hero. The Great Leap Forward, a brilliant plan put forward by the chairman in 1958, greatly increased the economic clout of China. The subsequent famine was not caused by the policy, but by poor climate causing poor crop yields. The Cultural Revolution a few years later successfully purged the capitalist imperialist reactionaries and their media from the party. People didn't have to go to school for a few years, which they very much enjoyed.

In conclusion, Mao was a great leader and did nothing wrong. This thread is a safe space for people who know the truth about this great man.
