I really like the game (even if the calibration always feels a bit off), but it was just made in the wrong decade.

Well, I'm certainly seeing why people moan about the difficulties. It's gone to the point now where Regular just doesn't cut it anymore, but Advanced is just too hectic. You really have to do a leap of faith to get even three stars.

My wife says the same thing - though she can handle a lot of the songs on Advanced it's the metal songs in particular she can't keep up with I have the opposite problem wherein all I want to play is the metal songs because they're the only ones that are really challenging on Expert. There's a few difficult not metal tracks but a lot of them are also snoozefests

I picked this up brand new on Wii U for only $15 at Goodwill. I'm really happy with how they handle "DLC". I like all kinds of music anyway so it works out perfectly.
