Renegade was pretty groundbreaking at the time multiplayerwise. Heaps of players, vehicles, indoor and outdoor areas on a giant seamless map. Got kind of forgotten when bf1942 or UT2004 came out though.

if anyones interested in downloading and playing some RA + CnC/Dune 2000 here's a site: http://cncnet.org/ it's " partially opensource" w/e that means so it's all on the up and up, i think. they have their own lobby service for mulitplayer games. Tried them all out with some buddies a while back and the only ones we couldn't get to work was RA2+Yuri's but I think that may have been something on ours ends so give it a try.
