I just moved to a new place and internet wasn't installed there until today. So forgive my tardiness. Thanks for the LP, guys! It's always a pleasure to see Earthbound done. I never say "no" to Paula's request to escort her home, but if you do, it doesn't matter- she says she'll come with you anyway, which goes along with the name of the song that plays in the overworld after defeating Giygas (see below). You don't have to take her home, either. You can go back to Ness's house and end the game there. His mom will comment about "meeting your little girlfriend." Here, I'd go over what you missed in the end, but I'm not going to. You have the save states and you can go back, explore everywhere, and talk to all the people you've helped along the way. Interesting glitch: if you left behind a Shattered Man in the Summers Museum, it still spawns if you come back after Giygas. Losing to it causes the game to glitch out. As for the music and its themes, I'll start with two of the tracks in this episode. The post-Giygas overworld theme is called "Because I Love You." The endgame wants to make sure you know that Ness got the girl after all is said and done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIZVQxcFW7A The credits theme is called "Smiles and Tears." That encompasses the bittersweet feeling of the end of the journey very well. The Smash Bros. 4 remix is more upbeat and cheerful, but it's also a great song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwHZwvTdnPI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQXrM1lN40U As I said in a previous post, the stage is set for the beginning of Ness and Paula's love in Twoson, where the song is called "Boy Meets Girl (Twoson)." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQHlp8w-gcg The songs for Threed tell you whether the town is under siege by the undead... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfFbgMklJGM ...or whether it's been rescued. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlbL0PLEmYM That's about it with the themes, really. I'm just gonna put more good music. There's plenty more where this came from. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvBT1Cspwss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4scwpI9_xw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmuYSU0ghKU

Oh and before this thread gets archived once and for all, I gotta wonder if Alex Hirsch is a fan of Earthbound. Giygas's chaos creation is kinda similar to Bill Cypher's in Gravity Falls. Also, Mabel's prison in the second-to-last episode is very Magicant-esque. Weirdmageddon reminds me more of the Dark World in Link to the Past.
