OP please don't guilt your SO into feeling like she has to conform to the V Day 'dinner and wine' thing like these other goons are suggesting. If she wants tequila with her nice dinner there's nothing wrong with that. V Day should be about you guys not about some corporate image of what V Day should look like. Wanting to go to a restaurant that has your drink of choice is fine.

I'm seriously amazed at the amount of idiots in here thinking a couple shots with dinner = getting shithoused like it is a frat house. Have you people seriously never shared a bit of liquor around the table at a nice restaurant before? It's not meant to be your only beverage. Or god forbid OP's GF wants a cocktail with dinner.
