One thing I am absolutely loving certain was, is that the books were better I will fight you over pissing little details because I live to fill the crevis of human creativity with bilge from source material that never sold well anyway

The Big Short is a good and righteous movie and is even funnier if you're projecting Michael Scott onto Steve Carrell's character.

Other than that, yeah past couple years have kind of sucked. I'd say there's definitely "watchable" movies like Hateful Eight or something but nothing that I was pretty much gripped the entire way.

I went into The Witch without much knowledge of what I was getting into; I guess I was expecting it to be a typical story with a moral or some kind of metaphor but apparently it's just a mishmash of old witch stories. A well shot mishmash, but I guess I was a little disappointed. Or maybe it's the most hosed up coming of age story ever, I dunno. And Shaquin posted:audiences are absolute poo poo for horror films

i liked the witch a lot but I don't think anybody else at the theater I was at liked it other than the people I was with pretty slow movie with kind of obnoxious dialogue so I can understand why people wouldn't like it but gently caress em

Saw The Witch and liked it a lot. The low speaking and old language and accents made it hard to understand and thst made it more mysterious imo. I think "unsettling" is a good word to describe it. Also saw Hail Caesar and wasn't a big fan. Seemed like lots of unconnected people and scenes that I often wondered why certain people were even in the film at all. I'm sure someone will call me an idiot for not liking it. Welp bye

Dead pool was fun Last superhero movie I enjoyed as much was the first iron man I expect the sequel to suck because this first one seems like a labor of love and the sequel will probably be a shameless money grab
