I read that book, it is pretty cool. I like when they party at the wedding, and how everyone is described by what they have stuck in their beards. Also one of the disciples is a drunken barkeep. The language is also sparse yet beautiful so it reads like a cool fable. Slows down about 2/3 the way through (he walks around some more. talks to some more people.). The ending is really, really good though, v. thought-provoking. The movie is decent too, staring the green goblin as jesus h christ

It's philosophically great, but becomes pretty obvious that it lost a lot in translation from the original greek around the thousandth time you read about somebody "rising from their seat like a crescent moon from the fertile waters of the eastern sea as the sun comes to rest its fiery brow against the pillowy dunes of the western horizon."

I do read, quite a bit, but I try to keep my schlock down to 1 or 2 a month. I've already read "Red Rising" so I don't have space for your moon god this month. I thought you got banned for being a bad troll?
