Also an 800-page biography of Alexander Hamilton, America's first Secretary of the Treasury. A bit hagiographic but overall a surprisingly entertaining read, especially if you like the "Great American Biography" genre. Duels, wars, sex, high finance, it's got it all! Learn about the dude in your wallet. 2) Orlando by Virginia Woolf You aren't afraid of Virginia Woolf, are you? This is the Woolf book that wasn't on your college English Lit reading list because the professor didn't want to deal with the fallout. quote:Orlando: A Biography is a novel by Virginia Woolf, first published on 11 October 1928. BTW, if you never read about the Mishima incident, do it "ritual suicide after a failed coup detat" is a hilarious understatement He had an actual samurai army in 1970.
