I watched Tremors and the sequel countless times. As a fan of Fred Ward I spent a lot of my childhood waiting in vain for Remo Williams the Adventure Continues :smith:

Fred Ward is amazing at whatever he does. My favorite (besides Tremors/Remo) is The Right Stuff.

I like it. It's not my favorite movie ever but it's fun to watch, well written and paced.
You just don't see movies like it made anymore and I doubt we ever will.
As disappointed as I am about modern cinema, it makes me glad that there's such a plethora of backlog to be appreciated and enjoyed.

unlikely
My dad says that when Tremors was released, they had a big billboard near one of the major Bay Area freeways. This was a few months after the Loma Prieta earthquake hit San Francisco, and one of the local news stations got all pissed off about the sign, saying it was too soon and upsetting just because of the name. So they made a big deal out of complaining to the movie studio.

The studio just sent them a form letter thanking them for their interest and a package of advertising crap with "Tremors" all over it, like posters and bobbleheads and cardboard cut-outs. No apology, no regrets over triggering people, and no fucks given.

that's my story thanks for listening
