LP0 ON FIRE posted:This kind of confused me at first, because the upper part is the only part with passengers, unless the rest of the train is full of passengers going express from the first to last stop. Somehow I thought the people were somehow going from the top of the train to one of those upper cars.. but no. It's a cool idea though. yeah how is it not clear that the main train never stops, but actually just loops around forever and that embarking and disembarking passengers play musical chairs across decks?

Facebook Aunt posted:There must be a way to travel between the main train and the little embark hat. When the next station in your stop you go up into the hat, which is left at the station. A staircase or a ladder or something. Though how that would work with some lady with a stroller or wheelchair I don't know. If you're too late to get up there, you're hosed. You get decapitated. The segment you posted shows the 2nd car sliding off while the new one is sliding on. To have it be clearer, there would probably be some intermediate part of the top car actually attached to a fixed position. But anyway I think I get it now! That train is dumb as hell, what happens when more than 5% of the trains capacity(about the size of the buggy) wants to get on or get off?

I think I saw an alternate version of that idea where it was two trains running side by side, one would maintain speed with the other while passengers switched back and forth and then detach and dock. The idea in general seems like a bigger pain in the rear end than the convenience it'd save tho

gently caress the double line, & we're talking about asains so i don't think the top car capacity is really at issue here
