So, goons who roof, can any of you advise on replacing a crappy old tin roof on maybe one part of a house instead of the whole thing? We have estimates that go from 12K to 17K to replace or shingle this ratty old 1822 farmhouse we live in. We are in central Maine, the house itself is about 12 to 1300 square feet of antique pain in the rear end. The ancient tin roof extends from the cape part of the house that we live in, to over the lovely attached barn part of the place. Of course, the only leaks are in the living areas of the house, two over windows, and the third in the bathroom.
