Dallan Invictus posted:Fixed that for you? Yes I know the Cup is less important than getting a playoff berth, but the fact that even if Portland didn't get the necessary win for a playoff berth all they had to was not lose by 3+ goals to get a tiny sliver of something to appreciate from this season (especially having bombed out of CCL a few days prior)...and they ROYALLY hosed that up. The schadenfreude is...delicious.

strangely at peace with the Timbers going Full Spursy. they haven't played well enough this season to have earned playoffs (are teams going winless on the road gonna become a thing every year now?) and desperately need a rebuild. Vancouver outclassed Portland in every way today and absolutely earned the win and the cup. ...shoulda been 5-1, Gleason had a couple of crazy saves.

Took a friend to his first MLS match today... A pretty good one for that. RSL are both simply the most physical team in MLS and a pack of floppers. We won, we're in teh playoffs, fan appreciation day yadda yadda But how the gently caress did Schmetzer gently caress up that last sub so that he couldn't get Scott onto the field before time was called? Jesus.
