Dir. Clive Tonge (no -u) Written by Jonathan Frank and some dumb commitee
Stars: Olga Kurylenko (The Serpent, Quantum of Solace, The Assassin Next Door, Oblivion, La Terre Outragée), a bunch of theatre students and overactors.

In this riveting thriller, Olga Kurylenko plays a criminal psychologist investigating a series of strange paranormal-like deaths. The victims claim a demon, who calls itself "mara" appears on their dreams and squeezes them until they can no longer breathe, or something. Olga gets too close and now it's out for her life, will she be able to outsmart and outwit the foul apparition?

This is a shelved idea project from Jonathan Frank, possibly late 1990's, I could tell because there's a scene with a CRT tv in static, in front of a dried up corpse. There's even a little girl hugging a teddybear, not a smartphone. In this jumpscare collection, we get some acting by Kurylenko and not much because after fourteen Saw films, endless horror "remakes" and the oddball new paranormal activity clone, you've seen this, either on tv or film. You can check this by reading the above description, and the names Sandra Bullock, Jodie Foster, Naomi Watts, Jennifer Lopez, Monica Potter should've immediately popped up. I would love to see more of Olga Kurylenko, I wish she had a better agent.

2/5 but it helps if you imagine the demon being Rooney Mara, angered in frustration that Sony made another girl with the dragon tattoo without her.
