Yes and yes.

Not sure if it's any smaller than a real ES-345, have done neither a side-by-side matching check nor a proper measurement. I'll compare it to my friend's 335 soon though, since the original ES-335 and ES-345 are the same body dimensions as each other, just with different guts.

As for being a little crude, yeah, that's for certain. The bridge is a piece of poo poo, only reason I keep it on is because it's the original and it's functional enough. It's got weird saddles, not sure if they're bone or if they're plastic. From the texture, though, I'm actually leaning towards bone, which to me seems very unusual for any electric. And from the looks of Ireneo's SG, it's almost the same exact bridge design.

What I like the most about mine, though, is that it's a birch ply body with a birch neck. The neck is three pieces glued lengthwise, and it has the exact same headstock shape as a legit Gibson. If this is the case on Ireneo's guitar, I'm not sure whether or not they'd be telltale signs of the mutual origin of that SG clone and my 345 clone. I will point out that the neck heel on our guitars is of very similar (if not the same) shape though. And it's bound all the way to the edge past the final fret just like mine.

Ireneo, I am really curious for more info on that guitar. I won't ask you to go out of your way, but I'd appreciate every bit of information you're willing to get. You've certainly got my recommendation to get that thing, it looks completely baller. If it's what I think it is, you'll likely be very satisfied.

Okay, body shape and dimensions look like the smaller shape found in MIJ Epiphones to me. Ditto for the neck binding and, most importantly, the weirdo white saddles. I'm going to go ahead and say that they came from the same place. Here is a related epiphone- the horns are shaped differently and it has awesome weird pickups. It does share the binding, similar inlay, and overall construction with yours though. Since the Epi was made in Matsumoku, it might be reasonable to at least provisionally assume that your 335 copy was an early example from that factory. It's hard to say anything for certain, but based on your picture and description that would be my guess.

Probably an early 90's Pearl kit, 22x16 kick, 12x9 and 16x16 toms, brand new 14" Peace snare (that sounds awesome), Pearl CX-500 hi-hats which are ok, Meinl LASER :riker: 20" ride, and a Rodgers strap drive kick pedal that I hate.

$300 with four lessons. Next up is a chain drive double kick pedal and a set of muffles for it so my wife doesn't kill me.

It's a Pharaoh fuzz pedal from Black Arts Toneworks. Through the knobs and switches, it can go from a boost to light OD to full on fuzz. Pretty cool. I got #12 made.

That thing has some serious beef to it (just listened to some clips). And it looks fantastic.

Took me forever but here's a demo of the Digitech Hot Head analog distortion pedal. The first little bit of the clip is showing the clean sound. From the moment the backing track (not played by me) starts, I'm playing lead with the pedal using the tapped bridge pickup. I switch it to full humbucker mode at 2:01 or so.

I think it sounds great, personally. You can pay a lot more for a similar sound.

Out of curiosity, there are a lot of similar products on the market, what made you choose this specific one? A looping station is on my short list of things to buy and they seem to all be very similar in feature/price sets.

I have a jamman myself, and what bought me over on it was the expandable SD card, and the fact that you can connect it to your PC, drag off recorded loops and save them on PC.
The fact that I have 4 gigs of looping space, and can record .mp3's onto it and save them, means I can use backing tracks from my solo album and perform myself at clubs without a band, all using 1 amp, no PA required.

Those features set it apart to me.

"This is not only a security risk but we occasionally get pigeons roosting in the space as a result."
I also have a JamMan and ditto on the SD card being a key feature. The additional footswitch also lends a good amount of real-time control. I did buy mine a while ago though, and Digitech has released several variations now which might be better or not, I don't know. My hope is that once I finish upgrading my FCB1010 I'll be able to start using my Max patch for asynchronous looping and other fun stuff. I doubt that laptop looping will replace the JamMan for all applications though.

Pretty much what the others said. I got it used, so I am not sure if the newer ones use SD cards, but this one uses compact flash type 1, but yes, this can be expanded up to a 2GB card.

I chose this over the Boss and others because of the expandable card (also an easy fix if something goes wrong with it), I can connect it to my computer to transfers loops and backing tracks off AND on the pedal, and it just got better reviews from what I have read. Plus it can hold 99 loops, so it seemed more bang for your buck in comparison.

You can get the external foot switch to add much easier/extra control, but I only plan on using this for writing at home, my other guitarist will be playing parts I am not.

Bought out of necessity more than anything but still my most recent purchase. Left my HD-280s on the other side of the border and it'll be a while until I can go and get them. Dropped $85 Canadian on these to hold me over until then. Sonically they're pretty close to the Sennheisers. Pretty flat. Not as loud, and not as comfortable, but I do like the detachable cord. They feel almost as sturdy, and don't weigh as much. The colour coded inserts indicating right and left are also a cute touch. They also fold up pretty small.

For what I paid I'm pretty happy- they'll work until I get my Senns back, and then I'll be able to use them for the second headphone out on the Impact Twin whenever I need it. I have a more exciting package coming from MusiciansFriend but it's taking its sweet time getting here.

Epiphone Les Paul Special II. Got it for the grand total of $40, due to the fact that it "has problems". I plugged it in and it sounds like the neck pickup is borked somehow. So, I visited guitarfetish.com's clearance site, and grabbed these for $30:

Granted, it's your basic starter-type guitar; I figure if nothing else, for the money spent it's a good (and relatively inexpensive) way to familiarize myself with replacing pickups and soldering techniques. :)

I can't remember if I posted this (been out of the country for work a fair bit in the last couple of months), but I picked up an Eventide Timefactor a while back and really only just started to play with it more than "quick, get a good tape echo sound for this tour". This thing is pretty intimidating - so much control over everything. I got some pretty fantastic sounds out of the tape echo and ducking delay, and had a biiiit of a play with the multitap. So far it's very impressive. Every time I go to play with it I get about 10 minutes into knob twiddling and then space out and play the same riff for about 2 hours..

Next payday I'm gonna grab one of those ISP Decimator G-Strings to replace my Hush pedal, hopefully it does a better job. The BOSS NS-2 I borrowed the other day does.

I was looking at the ISP pedals too. They are pretty expensive. I got the NS-2 for $45, so I figured it's worth a shot. If it's not up to snuff, I'll probably try to pick up a Decimator as well.

Got a few things comin':

First, from a HCFX user named Robopimp, a MOSFET boost pedal with his own art on top:

I inquired, the gourd is not included in the purchase.

Second, a pair of Wamplers that I'll be reviewing. I have very high expectations based on my experiences with the Plextortion, Super Plextortion, and Triple Recstortion (which was a limited run, now he has the Triple Wreck to do the same stuff but with an additional neat high-gain fuzz thing)- I'm very interested to see if these pedals pull it off as well as those ones do.

1. The new Black '65 Overdrive, aimed at getting classic Fender clean and overdriven tones. No COSM here ;)

2. A Plexidrive, a pedal I get asked about pretty often because I reviewed the Plextortion and Super Plextortion and people seem to want to know how this one compares. Well, I couldn't tell them before, but now I'll be able to.

I haven't decided if I'm going with a combo or a head and cab. I just need something that's a quieter than my Traynor YCV40T. I'm pretty interested in these. Seems like it'd be something nice to carry around when a full size head isn't needed.

Today marks a momentus occasion, where I got the guitar that I've been wanting basically for as long as I can remember playing:

96/97 Black Peavey Wolfgang Standard. A roommate in college had one that I got to play for a summer, but unfortunately wanted it back eventually. It's really fun to play, and sounds good so far. I'll be busting it out at practice tonight to see how it fits into the mix.

Which makes me happy, especially since I just got word from Sweetwater that my preorder for a goldtop 50's tribute Les Paul won't be fulfilled until late October... grumble grumble.
