How do you actually use Tailor Maid? I'm not somewhere I can play it so sorry if it's laughably obvious once you start it up. Looked at the mod before but it didn't describe how you actually make outfits, thought it was maybe a metamod to help others mod outfits in.

Basically, it dumps everything into a container behind Doc Mitchell's house. The mod itself consists of portions of other armors that have been "torn off", and are instead handled like accessories, allowing you to do stuff like have a bandolier on leather armor.

This is all there is to it. With satchels you can enable the "cheat bag" via the pipboy, which puts a duffel bag inside Doc Mitchell's house FULL of clothes to play wasteland dressup with. My only issue with tailor maid is you can't have the awesome shotgun shell bandoleer without the big shoulder pad thing.

So it seems that you can only go up to a 10 on the player scale size.

Sadly, Manny picked a bad time to leave the gift shop and take his post.

Of course the town went hostile on me and I keep hearing a weird popping sound. Oh, there's a dude down there with a pistol!

Shooting cannonballs from your minigun is about the only way that ss could be better.

Why doesn't this do anything? It should make the history longer, and move the console text up according to things I've read but it does nothing.

Hi guys, I mentioned forever ago, like the old thread, I was working on some content for NV. It's been a lot of learning and slow going on my part, but I think after some polish and thorough testing and tweaking I'll be good to release pretty soon.

Some WIP shots or something:

It's a bundle of 7 armours for male and female characters, and will also be sort of an overhaul of the Vet Ranger loot tables. I feel I'm nearly done, I think.

I still have to do all my alpha textures. :smithicide:

Capn Beeb posted:

Falling damage doesn't scale with player size either. I had to learn the hard way in FO3 that if you jump straight up while scaled to 10, the game doesn't think you're falling 2 feet when you come back down, it thinks you're falling 20 feet and every bone in your character's body will shatter the second you hit the ground.

About Tailor Maid, is the Black version a stand-alone thing or do I need it and the 'Main' files?

Once you get in game you select emittance level MED, which is actually very important to getting the desired look. And don't forget to disable the nevada skies weather patterns so that it doesn't bug out URWL.

That particular suit is a "special suit" I'm planning to drop on Ghost because everyone's afraid of her, but will still be available to players of either gender elsewhere in the world. The other armours are a lot closer to the original design aesthetic of the veteran rangers, but are still kinda my own thing at the same time.

This whole thing started because I noticed the vet rangers looked like they were wearing slippers, and that seemed decidedly non-badass to me. My plan is to release a couple of .esps and one resource bundle; one that replaces the vet rangers' existing table and places armour in the NCR safehouse and Camp Golf, and one that doesn't and places the armour somewhere easily accessible. Coatless versions of the armour will be there for players who don't want to kill veteran rangers, and coat-on versions will only spawn on the rangers themselves.

Apparently I decided this was a simple thing to do for my first public mod since Oblivion. But hey, I'm learning a lot and having fun making it so it's all good.

Here's an example of what I mean - a "heavy assault" version of the Black Armour, still a bit of a WIP. I should say that only this weight of armour will have the coat tucked under, light/medium wear the coat over.

Male, coat off

Female, coat on

Geonox and I seem to have had a similar idea, as he's rebuilding the riot suit as well. He seems to have a lot more inspiration from Mass Effect (I think his hip/leg armour is actually from ME resources, but.. I'm not gonna tell the Nexus admins because his work is really good.) I don't have any bodily exposure in my mod so it should work with everything; all resources will be self-contained and self-reliant in the download.

I'm not a modder myself and am actually playing this on the 360 at the moment (bought it twice, will play it heavily modded on the PC when I'm done getting achievements and playing console-exclusive DLC), but I had what I think is a good idea for a mod.

We all hate the kid in Freeside shouting about Mick and Ralph's, right? And he's not the only annoying kid in the game, unfortunately. So I was thinking that instead of modding in the ability to kill kids and making yourself an enemy of everyone for very little reason, it'd be cool to have a Child Protection Services mod. Basically, this'd be a freeform quest sort of thing with a new faction (or maybe the Followers of the Apocalypse or NCR (edit: or even the Legion, I'm sure they can always use some new recruits)) that gathers the mistreated children of the wasteland and gives them food and shelter and - most importantly - keeps them tucked away where they won't annoy anyone. Suddenly children are a collectible!

So anyway, is there a mod like this? I'd try to make it if I had the first clue what I was doing.

Has anyone else encountered a bug in any of your saves that causes the entire game to be shrouded in near darkness to where you cant really see anything regardless of the time of day? The entire world is just in total blackness and the only way I can see to get around even in the morning hours is using nightvision. It's like someone put a darkness filter over the game and turned all the lights off completely. No idea what happened but it just ended up that way after coming out of a cave area.

I've tried waiting four days in-game, fast traveling, reloading and everything but that save (which I stupidly didnt save a double of that isn't about five hours away) just wont snap out of total blackness. I'd post a screenshot but you probably couldn't see anything out of nightvision anyway. First time it's ever happened and I don't know if it's due to the new version of Electro City bugging out or what. The bug happened when it was like 9 in the morning so it shouldn't have been dark anyway.

I figured it out. Apparently the new Enclave mod (that actually has quests and stuff) doesn't play well with the new emittance plugin for the new version of Electro City at some points. Fiddling around with both of those fixed it. If they weren't conflicting then it must have been just moving them around and disabling and re-enabling them. Who knows.

That Enclave mod looks promising though if the author continues to work on it.

I have a weird question.

I disabled a building and some other stuff that was in the way of the city I'm building, and now when I go inside a building a pop back out, when the game world reloads there's like a 'ghost' version of the stuff I disabled. It's like a super low rez version of the building I got rid of sitting there.

If I enter a building far away it doesn't happen, only if I'm within a mile or so. Is there a way to stop the game engine from doing this? It effects saves and seems to not want to go away ever once created.
