Just finished the first book of the Admiral Thrawn trilogy of Star Wars novels and it's surprisingly decent. Similar tone and reasonably close quality to the original movies, anyway. Would have made a decent sequel trilogy if it were directed by someone other than george lucas

i read the dark horse comics of the thrawn series (idr the name) and they owned alot. star wars extended universe has some good stuff and some real bad stuff. its a ownage universe tho b/c lots of people are familiar with it but at the same time the time spawn is so huge you can slot your own story in there w/out too much trouble.
