Grandpa Pap posted:Also, SyFy was showing the 1979 Captain America movie that featured Space Mutiny's very own Reb "Bob Johnson" Brown as Cap. I couldn't take too much of it, but rest assured there were plenty of "Big McLargehuge" jokes during the time I watched. Wow. They really need to give this the Rifftrax treatment.

Ha, just watched an old Mission: Impossible that featured the "hastily put-together" mobster from Mitchell. As, well, a mobster. I guess he wasn't Anthony Quinn enough to avoid typecasting. (It also had Peter "He learned too late that man is a feeling creature..." Graves, obviously.) EDIT: Holy poo poo, I'm watching another episode and the villain is Joe Don motherfucking Baker! In a frilly shirt! Small Strange Bird fucked around with this message at 21:42 on Jul 23, 2011 |

For absolutely no reason related to MST3K or the thread, I'm going to mention I've gotten the chance to work with Barbara Bain, from the original M:I, on two different plays in the last year. She has really drat interesting stories. Now a Joe Don Baker related quote! They just bleached his hair and shaped it into a hat...

I had a knick on my Brimble once."

I wish that they redid more of KTMA episodes in the later seasons. I think they had their fill after the Sandy Frank ones though.

In MST3K related news, Rifftrax is on Hulu now. The selection is pretty limited, but I'm watching "Plan 9 From Outer Space" and I honestly can't see why they didn't do it on MST3K. I recall reading that it was considered too wordy or whatever, which is patent nonsense; given the RT treatment, it turns out to be just as riff-able as any of the other Ed Wood movies they did during MST3K's run. Plus it's got KLEIN!

You don't direct Klein; you just get out of the way.
