Any reason why the comic updates at midnight PST? I thought Tom was in the UK.

Not complaining, just wondering.

It does work out to 8am in the UK. I always figured he kept it in time with when he used to update manually, which presumably would be early morning.

I didn't realise that time was midnight PST, though. So it probably is related to his hosting.

That's exactly what it is. He's said on formspring a couple of times that it just updates at midnight wherever its server happens to be.

EDIT: Have to say I don't really like Annie's face in the last panel. It seems like it shifts into a completely different art style. Panel 3 is totally awesome though.

Seems like a normal side-profile shot. I don't think tom's used them very often though, and they're supposed look a bit different then the usual 3/4th or whatever.

Yeah, it's just unusual to actually see Annie's face in side-profile. As far as I have noticed it is very rare and when it is used either her hair is covering most of her face or she is drawn in Tom's low detail style.

Also, scruffy hair :3:.

I love this kind of fan art, that recreates characters faithfully but in a markedly different style. It's like glimpsing the comic world through someone else's eyes.

Wow that's well done. Annie really looks like a child and not the "short adult" that a lot of art shows children as, and Coyote being done in a different style really makes his otherworldliness stand out.

Wow, she broke down (albiet only a little) fast there. Teenage whiplash indeed.

I'm glad that she and Jack are reconciled. Even if they don't want to be romantic, when he's not insane the two of them are both (for the most part) fairly nice people with similar interests who can get along pretty well. A long term conflict without something to prompt it would feel... artificial. Although Annie was doing her best to prompt one there.

Jones is probably one of many myriad mythological entities that a person could be. Whooooooo knooooooows.

I'm not sure about this, because Annie mentioned in chapter 32 that Ysengrin "tried" to explain what Jones is. If Jones is full or part elemental, surely she wouldn't have made such a cryptic comment.

I dunno, I think Ysengrin would have a hard time explaining that a dude once got a rock pregnant without it sounding weird!!
