I'd rather listen to Bud tell a story.

I really like the not-so-subtle change Tom did when drawing Janet. Aside from, you know, drawing her as a tarted up racing girl, the way he did her jawline and hair makes her look older to reflect Winsbury's absurd story. Much like how Annie and everyone else's faces have been getting less round and childlike over time.

Brannock posted:If everyone is taking turns telling stories do you think we'll get a story from Annie about her summer? The chapter subtitle is "(and three short tales)" so unless Winsbury gets cut off and that means this one doesn't count I don't think so. Also I love Janet's face at the top of the page. I think she doesn't like the story as much as we do.

I think that's just her serious face. So all their friends know this story is COMPLETELY SERIOUS GUYS.

Perhaps it was both stories at the same time. He was a young undercover street racer slash stableboy with a penchant for doing wheelies in flaxen fields, she a horsestreetracer, and there they met. I'm guessing how they actually met was terribly embarrassing.

Its true, being an undercover street car stable-boy isn't something you readily admit. Especially if you had to straighten your limbs for it.

Man, I think I've heard these stories somewhere before. Also, Winsbury gets to look forward to a jawline you can sculpt granite with.

This is exactly what I hoped would happen with this story, each interjecting and overwriting the other's story. Can't wait to see how the world of underground horse racing turns out.

I'm just glad nobody went for the far too obvious Eglamore joke. I wonder if we'll actually see the real story behind these two.

So let me get this straight: Boxbot is Chu chu, who is also the Prince, who is also Akio, who is also Wakaba? I knew reading all those Geocities sites with Utena theories back in the day would come in handy! So which one of them was Eglamore?

Clearly Eglamore is the Prince, which means that Coyote is Akio? Which means that Coyote is Eglamore. It's all coming together.
