Is this a mod? I remember those notes in Talon Mercs in Fallout 3, but not in New Vegas.

Looks to be in the style of New Vegas Bounties 2, though I haven't progressed very far into to be sure.

Also, I just ported the Level Cap Workaround mod to New Vegas. This way, every time you get to whatever your maximum level is your level is reset to the level preceding that (ie it's reset to 49 if your cap is 50), letting you continue gaining XP, skills, and perks (no HP, although there is a version that allows continuous HP gain).

This solves my problem of not being able to level up my Signature Armor after reaching level 50. Anyone want it?

I made versions for levels 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50. Since I have all 4 DLC, can someone remind me if XP gains are frozen upon reaching the maximum level for other level caps?

Yeah, but I beat both and I don't remember anybody coming to kill me. Then again it took until level 40 for the legion assassins to finally get to me despite me having been vilified by the legion since level 9 :v:

The Wasteland Seeker armour is rather good looking, but for some reason the creator saw fit to put it in the worst location in the game ever (Quarry Junction)

Completely retarded given that the armour itself isn't really that good, and not nearly valuable enough to risk your rear end at the only real point in the game where it would be functionally useful.

There's a few good ones. Desert Scorpion's are almost all male only, but the few male/female ones it does have are the best ones anyway.

And ignore the stupid poses here, it's pretty good. I'm using this since the stats are lower than normal for custom armor and I'm finally starting a lady run. http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=43844 Requires the original though.

I cant seem to find any increased level mods that work any more.

I was wondering if it is possible find the script for when the game loads DLC and tells you "your level has been increased by 5".

I could try to add a duplicate script that will increase the amount of desired levels in the same way the DLC does, seems like it would be the best way to do it.

I just cant seem to find it anywhere in the geck.

I play in it most of the time, except in cramped areas where 1st person is easier for looking through crates and such. I'm constantly switching back and forth. The animations don't bother me. The only things that bother me is stuff like the extreme clipping on some of the NV armors (Ranger Combat Armor being the worst, did they think no one would notice that?), which isn't hard to find fixes for on PC.

I guess I make a cool looking dude/woman I want to see them in action. Doesn't seem much point in customizing them otherwise.

Everything about the game makes it seem like third person was just an afterthought. I was doing Volare earlier with my Legion dude and I switched to third person and swimming was just really, really weird looking and unnatural.

Plus I have PN installed, so whenever I use third person and sprint it literally just plays the running animation faster so it looks like I'm in a benny hill sketch

But yeah, it seriously sucks. Somebody make a power armour suit that is skin tight and shows off some tits and call it a day with this junk.

One final complaint, did the guy who do the clean up and expanded strip mod have to force you to add Sierra Madre? it looks really ugly out of place and I swear causes most of my lock ups.

Yeah, third person hasn't really been improved at all since Oblivion. It looks maybe a little less glidey at best. If Skyrim doesn't have diagonal running animations I swear I'm going to cap somebody.

Changed that to be slightly more realistic. Non sexual animation mod on the nexus? Seanbean you must be crazy.

Edit: There is apparently a cardinal law of modding called One More Feature where modders just keep adding poo poo to the same mod -regardless of its relation to each other- rather than decide that they have done everything they set out to accomplish and just start a new mod with a new set of goals/features.

There's a version of the New Vegas Restoration that doesn't have the Sierra Madre part. I downloaded the one that did, without the other mod, and it made the strip have a huge blank section.

This is the version without the Sierra Madre. Looks way better without the lovely out of place casino.

I was using v4.1 and noticed that the nights were dark but not tremendously so. After testing it for several in-game days, the darkness seemed consistent: No sudden plunges into pitch black. You'll get use out of NV optics for weapons / helmets / perks / implants, but you can still carefully maneuver without them.

The important thing to keep in mind is this: If you enable the mod, load up a save, and press "w" to wait until night (8 or 9 PM) the weather will be unusually dark for a minute or two. You should notice the night lightening up a bit as the game catches up with itself.

Third'd. Signature weapon and armor are my two favorite mods now. I do kind of wish there was some way to retain at least a fraction of the points and switch to a new item later though.

I've been using Lightweight leather armor and Lucky since level 1. They are great and all, but at level 20 I kind of would like to change things up without having to start from scratch. Mind you, Lucky killed Rawr with only 1 reload and before he got to me.

With the third person centered it's pretty good, and it's a gently caress load easier to aim, I don't know how I played first person before, it's so loving hard to hit things with ironsights because the gun just recoils and then you can't see your target.

Thank you for your answer. Anyhow, it seems like the night brightness adjuster of Nevada Skies also works with Project Reality. It doesn't make them quite as bright as in Nevada Skies 0.7.x (which seems to have the perfect brightness for me), but it helps a lot. It might even make Project Reality playable for me, but I still need to do some testing.

E: Hahaha, apparently Project Reality has nowadays options to 1) change the main menu music 2) make nighttime more challenging (more enemies?) 3) add an element of surprise to the wasteland (whatever that means). Mod bloat at its finest. :colbert:

Ok. I reinstalled the whole shebang. Deleted local content and started anew.

The game loads fine but I think the problem is NVSE or more concretely, the 4GB NVSE loader.

The game starts to load then crashes. I have not deleted any of the .bsa files, I haven't even enabled the mods yet. The odd thing is that when I load the 4GB loader, its uberfucks my installation and it then stops working even when I try to load it normally.

Any ideas?

edit: I read my post again and I think it wasn't very clear. The game works beautifully until I try to load it via NVSE and 4GB thingie. Once I do that, its hosed and never starts again.

edit2: After revalidating the cache files, the game now starts again but I'm not loading via NVSE or 4GB. Can someone tell me step by step how to get NVSE and 4GB working together like a happy family?

I found this for the level cap. Is it still up to date? Trying it now.

Edit: It seems to work. I used "reward xp" to move from 49 to 50, after which I could take the appropriate level 50 perk, then I went back to 49. Strangely, though, after my karma was reset to neutral and I leveled up again, I couldn't take the neutral level 50 perk, "Just Lucky I'm Alive." Oh well.

Edit2: The second time I loaded up the game, however, moving from 49 to 50 did not let me take a level 50 perk. This was fixed by adding "SetGameSetting iMaxCharacterLevel 51" in the console so it bounces from 51 to 50 instead of 50 to 49. Problem solved, and now I have both the good karma lvl 50 perk and the neutral one!
